Itinerary

Tour pyramids, Memphis, Sakkara

8:00 am – Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and you will depart for Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Memphis was founded in 3100 BC and was the center of political and cultural life in Egypt for over 3,000 years.

9:00 am – Arrive at Memphis and visit the Open Air Museum, which houses a number of impressive sculptures, including the Colossus of Ramses II. This statue is one of the largest ever made and stands 33 feet tall.

10:30 am – Depart for Sakkara, the site of the ancient Step Pyramid of Djoser. This pyramid was built in the 27th century BC and is considered to be the oldest stone structure in the world. It was designed by the famous architect Imhotep, who was also a high priest and physician.

11:00 am – Explore the Step Pyramid and the surrounding complex, including the Imhotep Museum, which displays artifacts from the site. The museum contains a number of fascinating objects, including tools, statues, and jewelry that were used by the ancient Egyptians.

12:30 pm – Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant. You will have the opportunity to try a variety of delicious dishes.

1:30 pm – Depart for the Pyramids of Giza, one of the most famous and iconic sites in Egypt. The Pyramids were built over 4,500 years ago and are considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

2:30 pm – Arrive at the Pyramids and Sphinx and begin your tour. Visit the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, as well as the Sphinx and the Valley Temple.
